East Noble Middle School

Last week in Mr. Vaught's 7th grade Social Studies class, students created their superhero climate project. Students demonstrated their understanding of geography by creating a unique superhero designed to live in a specific climate zone. Each student was assigned a climate and tasked with developing a superhero whose powers, appearance, and lifestyle reflected the challenges and opportunities of that environment. Along with their creative design, students wrote an essay explaining the characteristics of the climate, how their hero’s abilities connected to those conditions, and how the hero would adapt to daily life there. It was fun to watch the kids be creative and excited in the halls and MakerSpace as they made their projects!

Our fall Parent/Teacher Conferences are coming up! We hope to see you here to discuss your child's growth.

Mr. Gammon's Psychology class spent the last week coming up with board and card games to create for their unit. They had to create the game itself, the rules, and tie it to something they just learned about. They then had to come up with a commercial to sell the game to their classmates, before getting able to sit and play the games with their classmates. Some games included a Go Fish inspired trivia game, a version of Who Meme'd it?, and a Monopoly styled game.

This past week in Mr. Field's class, students were building sailboats to tie in with European exploration and how the explorers used sailboats to find faster routes to Asia.

Last week, in Ms. Martin's class, students played some fun games to help them remember their states and capitols. Learning and laughs ensued.

School begins on August 9, 2023! Have your registered your child? Registration affects many aspects of your child's experience, such as transportation and technology. Help ensure a smooth start to the year by making sure your child is registered prior to tomorrow!

The school board meeting on Wednesday, April 12, has been moved to East Noble High School. It will begin at 6:00.

ENMS Families, The Drake Road project will enter its next phase of construction, starting in a few weeks. This will affect traffic patterns on Drake Road for the remainder of the school year. Starting on April 3rd, Drake Road will be east bound traffic only from the corner of Weston Ave to Lincoln Street. If you drop off or pick up your student at the middle school, you must enter the main entrance as you drive east along Drake Road. When you exit the main entrance, you must turn right and continue east towards Main Street. We know many of you park at the Sunset Parking lot off Drake and wait for your child, this parking lot may be blocked during construction hours. If you choose to wait for your student off the school grounds, please use the Sunset Parking lot off Weston Ave or Rush Street. Students can use the crosswalk at the corner of Weston Ave and Drake Road for safe passage across the road. You should not at any time pull into the bus parking lot on Weston Ave to pick up or drop off your student. Please see the map for full details on traffic flow. We know this will create some challenges during the construction phase, but we will all benefit in the end. During construction please be mindful of Police and Fire by not parking at or blocking access to the fire station or any other streets or access points. The 8th grade Lady Knights are onto the championship! These girls have only lost 1 game in middle school! Come out and cheer them on Monday at 6:00 at ENMS as they play for a back to back conference championship. Lets pack the stands Knight Nation!

Are you a parent who uses the PowerSchool Parent app to view your child's grades? A number of people have reported seeing a syncing error when using the app. To solve this issue, simply log off the app and then back in; you should then be able use the app successfully.
