✈️ Flying Aces! ✈️ Our 6th, 7th, and 8th graders wrapped up the quarter with some fun competition! Students who met their academic goals earned paper airplanes and took aim at a designated target area for a chance to win a prize. 🎯🏆 We love celebrating hard work, reaching goals, and finishing the quarter on a high note! Learning by doing! Our 7th and 8th grade Family and Consumer Sciences students recently completed reversible aprons as part of their sewing unit.

Students gained valuable skills by learning to use a pattern, sew seams, topstitch, and press fabric properly. The finished projects demonstrate both craftsmanship and perseverance. Great job ENMS FACS students!

Last week, students in Mr. McNamara and Mr. Jane's classes put Newton's Third Law of Motion in to the test by designing and building balloon-powered cars. They learned that for every action, there is an equal and opposite reaction as the air rushing out of the balloon pushed their cars forward. Students were challenged to make their cars travel a certain distance, using creativity, teamwork, and problem-solving to earn top marks. Great job to all of our young engineers! 🎈🔬👏

Last week in 6th grade: Inspired by the book Hatchet, students in Mrs. Bloomfield’s class built wilderness shelters and tested their creativity and engineering skills. They worked to make them strong enough to withstand the weather, and many even added doors.

Students in Mr. McNamara's class participated in a density lab this week! They had the chance to do hands-on activities to figure out how density is calculated and how it works in the relation to floating in water.

Mr. Bennett and Mr. Devers’ classrooms stepped back in time by recreating Ulama, an ancient Mayan ball game! Students got hands-on (in this case, hands off---no hands allowed) experience learning about Mayan culture while having a little fun competing with their classmates.

WE ARE A GO!

All buses and schools will run exactly two hours after their regularly scheduled time.

Refer to the regular schedule that occurs on Tuesdays - Fridays, then push everything back TWO HOURS. For instance, if your child's bus comes at 6:30 normally, today it will come at 8:30. If you child's school opens normally at 7:30, it will open at 9:30 today.

Due to foggy road conditions, East Noble School Corporation will operate on a TWO-HOUR DELAY today. All schools and buses will run exactly two hours later than their normal schedule.

Example: If your child's school typically starts at 7:45 a.m., today it will start at 9:45 a.m. Simply move bus pickup times, school start times, and other morning schedules back by two hours.
